Pakistan’s military says its ongoing air and ground operations in Afghanistan have killed at least 274 Afghan forces and affiliated militants and wounded over 400. Army spokesperson Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 27 injured, with one missing in action. Islamabad accused Afghanistan’s Taliban government of backing militant groups including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), al-Qaida and Islamic State.
