'Hormuz Open To All Except...': Iran President Hits Back After Trump's 48-Hour Ultimatum

As tensions escalate in the Middle East, the battle over the Strait of Hormuz continues to intensify. After US President Donald Trump's ultimatum over the opening of Hormuz, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has now hit back.  In a series of posts, Trump issued a direct ultimatum over the strategic waterway, saying: "If Iran doesn't FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS… the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!" Reacting to the US President's warning, Iran President in his X post said, "The illusion of erasing Iran from the map shows desperation against the will of a history-making nation. Threats and terror only strengthen our unity. The Strait of Hormuz is open to all except those who violate our soil. We firmly confront delirious threats on the battlefield." In another statement earlier in the day, the Iranian military's operational command, Khatam Al-Anbiya, said, "If the United States' threats regarding Iran's power plants are carried out... the Strait of Hormuz will be completely closed, and it will not be reopened until our destroyed power plants are rebuilt."
