Linda Cardellini claimed her first Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress and wore a mother-of-pearl couture gown to the 2026 ceremony.

Actor Linda Cardellini secured her first Emmy at the 2026 ceremony, taking the prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. The award was handed out earlier, during the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, a non-televised event held ahead of the main broadcast.

Accepting the honor in tears, Cardellini thanked her parents, her longtime partner Steven Rodriguez and her daughter, Lila Rose. "To my entire DTF family, I love you so much. I'm so proud to be a part of this show," she said, before adding that she was "overcome" and calling the experience an unbelievable journey. She also praised the other nominees, describing their work as inspiring.

Cardellini's screen career spans decades, from the cult series *Freaks and Geeks*, which aired from 1999 to 2000, to the Netflix dark comedy *Dead to Me*, which ran from 2019 to 2022. Her recognition this year marks a milestone after years of Emmy attention.

Her first nomination came in 2013 for a guest turn as Sylvia Rosen on *Mad Men*. In 2020 she earned two nods for *Dead to Me*, one as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and another as an executive producer on the show, which competed for Outstanding Comedy Series.

For the evening, Cardellini worked with stylist Jeanann Williams on a pearly, iridescent ensemble. The floor-length couture gown, made by Yara Shoemaker, was built from hundreds of square mother-of-pearl tiles joined by a diamond at every corner. The strapless design combined sharp geometric lines with the soft sheen of the shell material.

She finished the look with a matching diamond necklace and heavy diamond rings.
