Tamil Nadu assembly passes anti-delimitation resolution moved by CM Vijay; DMK backs it

Tamil Nadu's assembly passed a resolution opposing delimitation and urging a freeze on Lok Sabha seats. The state government demanded the implementation of 33% women's reservation within the current strength. Principal opposition DMK supported the resolution, while AIADMK, PMK, and BJP opposed it. Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay stated the resolution safeguards Tamil Nadu's rights permanently. The assembly passed the resolution with the support of the majority.
