Breaking News: Iran Strikes Israel with Kheibar Shekan Missile

The ongoing war between Iran and Israel has entered its seventh day, with tensions escalating further after Iran launched powerful attacks using the Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile. This missile, whose name means “fortress breaker,” is considered one of Iran’s most dangerous weapons due to its long range of around 1500 km and its ability to carry cluster munitions. During the attack, the missile reportedly targeted areas near Tel Aviv, where it descended through the night sky, potentially challenging Israel’s advanced air-defense systems such as the Iron Dome. The Kheibar Shekan missile releases multiple smaller bombs over a wide area, causing large-scale destruction. These cluster bombs do not explode simultaneously; instead, they detonate at different times, which increases the risk for both military personnel and civilians. International organizations like the United Nations have banned many types of cluster munitions because unexploded bombs can remain dangerous for long periods. Military experts say the missile is a significant strategic weapon for Iran, as intercepting dozens or even thousands of sub-munitions is extremely difficult for any defense system.
