Entropic's Revenue Soars Past $11.5 Billion in Q2 as IPO Looms

AI startup Entropic saw its revenue jump more than 14-fold in the second quarter, reaching over $11.5 billion as it prepares for a potential blockbuster IPO.

NEW YORK — Entropic, the artificial intelligence company behind a popular cloud chatbot, is growing at a staggering pace. New documents show its revenue hit more than $11.5 billion in the second quarter — a huge leap from $787 million a year earlier.

That's more than 14 times growth in just one year, according to Bloomberg, which reviewed the preliminary numbers. The company also posted positive adjusted operating income for the quarter.

The figures come as Entropic gets ready for a potential initial public offering that could happen as early as this fall. If it goes ahead, the IPO would be one of the first big tests for a major private AI company going public.

Entropic has been going head-to-head with OpenAI for business customers, and its software has become a go-to tool for professionals doing everything from coding to data analysis. The company said back in May that its operating income had already passed $47 billion, up from nearly $10 billion in all of 2025.

Sources say Entropic's CFO, Krishna Rao, has been leading early meetings with potential investors. So far, those talks have stayed high-level and haven't gotten into specific valuations or financial details.

An IPO would give Entropic access to billions in fresh capital — money it needs to keep funding expensive computing infrastructure, secure advanced hardware, and build more specialized data centers.

A company spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
