Hyderabad Introduces Common Pass for Metro Rail and City Buses

HYDERABAD — Hyderabad commuters can now use a common travel pass covering city bus and Metro Rail journeys under a new integrated ticketing initiative launched in Telangana.

The facility, known as MeeTicket, is designed to make public transport more convenient by bringing bus and Metro travel under a common ticketing arrangement.

The system is intended to reduce the need for commuters to manage separate travel arrangements when transferring between city buses and the Metro.

Hyderabad has a large daily commuter population, with passengers frequently combining road-based public transport with Metro services to reach workplaces, educational institutions and commercial areas.

An integrated ticketing system could make transfers between the two modes of transport simpler and potentially encourage greater use of public transportation.

The initiative is part of broader efforts to improve urban mobility in Hyderabad and create better connections between different public transport networks.

Passengers should check the applicable routes, pass validity, pricing and usage conditions before purchasing or using the facility.
