By News National Editorial Team

Türkiye, Qatar, Pakistan and Indonesia signed a defence cooperation agreement in Doha on October 21, 2026, to strengthen military collaboration and expand cooperation in defence technology.

According to Türkiye's Defence Ministry, the agreement, called the Badr Memorandum of Understanding, aims to encourage collaboration in military production, technical training, research and development.

The arrangement is intended to help the participating countries combine their respective defence-industrial capabilities and develop opportunities for joint projects.

Türkiye has expanded its defence manufacturing sector in recent years, including the production of drones, military vehicles and other equipment. Pakistan also maintains a domestic defence industry, while Qatar and Indonesia have pursued defence modernisation and international partnerships.

The agreement signals closer cooperation among the four countries, although specific joint projects, funding commitments and implementation timelines will depend on further decisions.
